Hot damn, this post is a lonnnnnng time coming! My love for morning adaptogenic coffees is no secret and neither is my love for chocolate ghee.

I don’t ever measure out my ingredients at this point in the game because I’ve been making different versions of these coffees every single morning for at least the past two years and I so encourage you to play around with ingredients and your intuition as well. But! By popular demand I locked in one of my favorite recipes.

Feel free to swap around fats depending on your preferences but do note that it changes the overall flavor and consistency when you do. Also! If you’re new to the world of “bulletproof coffee”, the whole point behind pairing a fat in your coffee is so that you metabolize the caffeine more sustainably. I know for me personally when I drink coffee black or with milk/cream, I get a racing heart, extremely jittery, and my anxiety flares up. I wanted a way to still enjoy coffee every morning without feeling like I was on the brink of a panic attack so I introduced them into my diet before eliminating coffee completely. And ta-da, it worked!

There’s loads of benefits to the powders I add but we’ll save that for another day. It can get pretty lengthy to write every single one of them out but if there’s ever anytime you’re asking WTF or why, simply do your own research! I’m not a doctor. But I will always happily share what works for my body (and tastes goooood).

Chocolate Ghee Mushroom Coffee

16oz of hot coffee
1 tsp. chocolate ghee (linked above)
1 tbs. coconut oil (can be swapped for butter, regular ghee, or MCT oil)
3 tbs. hemp seeds
1 tbs. cacao
1/4 tsp. ashwagandha
1/2 tsp. lion’s mane

Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend on high for 1 - 2 minutes. The longer you blend, the creamier it becomes and has a great froth to it.

adding the hemp seeds directly to the blender skips the step of having to make your own milk. They blend super smooth and you don’t have to strain hemp milk, plus added plant protein!
