Nettle and Rose Infused Hazelnut Milk
Sneaking herbs into everyday recipes is a simple way to give your body a boost of nutrients and one of my personal favorites because it takes little to no extra effort. Hazelnuts also happen to one of my favorite milks to make because of their flavor is a bit jazzier than your average almond milk.
Rose petals are known for their heart-opening abilities and they have a light floral taste without being overpowering when used in moderation. Nettle is my absolute faaaavorite because it’s incredible for helping your hair grow thick, quick, and lush. Which after chopping my hair off last year, I need all the damn help I can get! I love using both ingredients in my weekly infusions and sometimes swap the water out in this recipe with a nettle infusion. The flavor comes in much stronger but feel free to play & experiment!
nettle & rose infused hazelnut milk
1 cup of hazelnuts
4 cups of spring water
2-4 large dates (depending on preference of sweetness)
1 tbs. nettle powder
1 tbs. dried rose petals
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
Simply add all ingredients and blend on high speed for 1 minute. Strain using a nut milk bag and enjoy!
