Adaptogenic Root Beer Float

I don’t know about you but when I think of root beer floats I’m taken back to a childhood summertime faaaavorite. It was never my intention on creating an adaptogenic root beer float but when I saw GT’s Pu-erh Root adaptogenic tea at my local Natural Grocers while living in Phoenix, I knew I had to make it happen!

I had a serious obsession with the GT’s when I had access to it because it tastes identical to root beer but the ingredients are listed as follows: Adaptogenic Mushroom Infusion (Reishi, Chaga, Turkey Tail), Pu-Erh Tea*, Raw Apple Cider Vinegar*, Dark Amber Maple Syrup*, Root Beer Spices*, and Probiotic Cultures with 8 grams of sugar per serving (so you’re not getting a sugar bomb). I swear this post isn’t sponsored or some sort of ad — this stuff is just so dang good and I would often find them on sale at both Natural Grocers and Whole Foods so I would stock up during those times!

If you’re new to adaptogenic shrooms, I’ll give a few benefits on the ones included in this one! As always, do your own research and get curious! Reishi, chaga, and turkey tail are all said to aid in boosting the immune system, help fight fatigue and depression, fight inflammation, and are rich in a wide variety of nutrients. As far as taste, they don’t add any funky flavors or ‘taste like mushrooms’ so if you’re not a big fan of eating mushrooms — you should be fine here!

Adaptogenic Root Beer Float

  • GT’s Pu-erh Root

  • pint of your favorite vanilla ice cream (dairy, non-dairy, whatever you vibe with!)

Simply add two to three scoops of your favorite vanilla ice cream and pour 8oz of the GT’s on top. Perhaps the easiest recipe you’ll find on the site (besides this one of course) and the perfect summertime sweet treat!
